Hollywood Arms - PDF Acting Edition PDF EBook Helen the main character is seen growing up and in her later years. Her aspiring famous writer mother, Louise leaves Helen with the grandmother nanny tolive in Hollywood in hopes to achieve her dreams. As Helen grows she her mother and grandma Nanny reunite with each other in Hollywood. As they live with each other we see the hammer of the depression hit them all. This timeless script shows what can happen when you take the time to follow your dreams but end up success less. I really enjoy this show as a play and as a piece to read because its blunt nature allows the viewer/reader to see an inside of the depression and the way it tore families apart. It also shows he down side of submitting yourself fully to one passion as it can drag you down when you don't succeed. There are tears of love and anger and the joy of overcoming your strugglesdespite the ideas of others. Definitely a must see or read! Like this book?
