Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet No. 29

PDF EBook by Kelly Link

EBook Description

I decided to buy a single issue after having read my first Kelly Link collection, as she edits this journal. Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet No. 29 PDF EBook The stories are exactly my kind of writing: fabulist, quirky, with lots of fairy tale references. The character- PDFdriven stories work the best to me, such as "Dietus Interruptus" by Ian Breen (my favorite) and "Fairy Skulls" by Nina Allan. The others seem to need a bit more work to me. For example, the first story, "Smash," I quite enjoyed, but it ended too soon. It felt like it needed a couple more scenes. And the next story, "The Groomsmen," felt like it needed to focus on some specific scenes. It read more like a summary bio than a short story. That being said, I would certainly read more by those authors, because they're the kind of stories I like. I originally decided to read this specific issue because of the non-fiction piece "How to Seduce a Vegetarian." And let me say, being a vegetarian, yes please make us sandwiches! Yum!

If you're a fan of Kelly Link, or fabulist fiction, I think this journal is worth buying. I will probably buy more issues in the future, and maybe even submit some of my own work. Like this book? Read online this: Bible stories to read and tell, Jennie, Lady Randolph Churchill.
